A Love Poem

Gentle wind caress my face
like a lover’s kiss
take me away from this painful place
to feel the love I miss
Nightingale sing me a song
I’ll set my sorrows upon my back
a melancholy tune to last till dawn
and I’ll feel the love I lack
Twinkling star shine down on me
light the way to his heart
sail us upon an enchanted sea
never keep us apart
Seashell with your sound of waves
washed upon the shore
you for the ocean, and for him I crave
now and forever more
Scarlet rose don’t lose your hue
bloom eternally
tell him that I love him true
with every part of me.

Much deeper than the seas

STOPPING BY WOODS ON A SNOWY EVENING
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

There are many theories on this poem but I have always sided with those who thought this was Santa Claus. The horse thinks it is queer to stop without a house in sight and many miles to go before he sleeps. I wonder what everyone else thinks this poem is about.
